An interesting article to better understand which structures work best and why: https://www.copyblogger.com/rule-of-three/ The idea is simple but fascinating, our mind loves patterns, specifically simple ones that it can recognize and assimilate quickly. Three is the smallest number needed to form a recognizable pattern. Studies have shown that it is easier to remember information when it is exposed in three-element patterns. It is the most useful tool for transmitting complex ideas in a simple way. It is brief, easy to remember and when applied to writing, it helps a lot to improve our texts. As you can see in the link in a more exhaustive way, this rule can be applied in all the levels of a novel, from the general structure to simpler grammatical constructions.
